In order to use play pause, fast forward and rewind when playing movies, and as well to use colored function in the bottom of the screen, the firestick remote needs to be programmed.
In joeTV app, press menu button in your remote (button with three lines). Select “Settings” on top of the menu.
Press down three times and select “Configure Key Maps”
Select “Show Default Keys” to uncheck and press down to select “Add Key”
Program the Fast Forward Button. In your firestick remote, press the “fast forward” button and select “action not selected”
Scroll down to select “BTN_VIDEO_FORWARD”, and Select “SAVE KEY”
“BLUE” button. Press the “Fast Forward” button again and select “Action not Selected”
Scroll down and select “BTN_BLUE” and check “Long Key Press” before selecting “SAVE KEY”
You now programmed Fast Forward button and the screen should look like below. Next to program is the Play /Pause Button.
Press “Play/Pause” button in your firestick remote and select “Action not Selected”
Scroll all the way down to select “BTN_VIDEO_PLAY_PAUSE” and select “SAVE KEY”
“YELLOW” button. Press “Play/Pause” button again in your firestick remote and select “Action not Selected”.
Select “BTN_YELLOW” and check the “Long Key Press” before selecting “SAVE KEY”.
You now programmed 4 buttons in your firestick remote and the screen should now look like below. Next to program is the rewind button.
Press “Rewind” button in your firestick remote and select “Action not Selected”
Scroll all the way down to select “BTN_VIDEO_REWIND” and select “SAVE KEY”
“GREEN” button. Press “Rewind” button again in your firestick remote and select “Action not Selected”.
Select “BTN_GREEN” and check the “Long Key Press” before selecting “SAVE KEY”.
Done. You now have 6 button programmed in your firestick remote. Press all the way back to the app main screen to continue watching.
